Okay, a little under the 7 hr mark for the audio, or before getting 30% in, the part of history where the Roman Catholic idea of the pope is discussed more. Much appreciated 👏. The author did state the overall goal is to focus on the historical timeline. However, he did a state few things in scripture debunking how the Roman Catholic church looks at Peter.

I do appreciate a bigger portion of explaining the Trinity is given and why the Church needed to make the Trinity clear. Some of the explanations I find confusing. Focusing on the "personal" aspects instead of Person. Almost saying God could be a Person and 3 Persons - um, what? Also, from my understanding, there was a main idea of the Trinity way before Nicene. The council shared what the Church already believed.

Ok...using gnostic writings, such as the Gospel of Thomas, as a source, isn't very credible...

Major problem with "Christianity" meaning a number of different beliefs. When the author says, "putting doctrine aside," we immediately have a red flag. Doctrine determines between what is true, mostly true, and utterly false. To not distinguish true Christianity, and say these countries accepted Christianity- does not mean they actually accepted true Christianity. If it's another Gospel, another Christ, it's false.

I appreciate the author did clarify the view of penance caused a division because not everyone agreed. And this is what emerged indulgences.
