The first one meant the world to me when I was the closeted queer kid in middle school. At the time I didn’t think any form of fiction could make me feel seen and I remember how often I read the first Aristotle and Dante book and feeling like I could finally relate to something for the first time in a long time. Reading the second one so many years later is so surreal and emotional.
