Unfortunately, you can tell this wasn't written by someone of the culture and a non-Muslim. I finished reading a scene where a character is explaining "the Christian God" and Jesus's Atonement to Jahanara, and I had to take a pause and mentally think, "But she's Muslim, Jesus is the Messiah in the Qur'an, she would know who Jesus is already." Feels so uneducated having that scene be included at all.
