I thought this book would be overly aggressive, like the title elicits. However the entire theme has been about listening to your counterpart and communicating in ways that soften the tension and make them feel understood. Many “strategies” suggested are backed by real psychology as well as field tested in real world life and death scenarios. So far it’s been a great read.
