Not the fourth wall break in the actual story. I like the quirkiness of this but we shall see how long this lasts for me

Okay I get why with the narration and the pacing and the insanity of arriving to the actual meat and potatoes of the book. Self-depreciating biographic humor was a huge thing for these authors in the 70s. Sheesh.

Still can’t read the memoir thing. I didn’t come into living that it’s a cult classic I watched a million time. Cuz I didn’t.

I have to start this blind cuz I’ve never seen it and I hope I can get through it
