I'm probably never going to finish this. I get a few pages further and it feels like I've read a full chapter, but really it's just a few pages. The prose isn't at all easy to manage. The dialogue is bizarre. I think if this was set in a less-than-real/more-than-real world it might be easier to handle. I see Finch was in my "currently reading" shelf, too. That could've been fun if it wasn't all detective-y. Blech.

I swear I'll read this someday. Maybe? I didn't read Hummingbird Salamander further than what, the first bit of the first chapter? What was even going on with that one? Someone was following someone's instructions to find a key somewhere? Who were they? It was marketed as an eco thriller? What does that even mean?
