Funny enough, the last book I read in 2024 was one written by a marine biologist, so I jumped the opportunity of reading a sci-fi about oceanic trenches.
This is why it fucking can't. The autor is mistaking different underwater structures - somehow mixing hydrothermal vents with deep-sea trenches, not only using wrong names, but also mixing them into one. I had so many wtf moments while reading, then I rage quit.
