getting more into it but this is my 4th Steinbeck book and i’m starting to think east of eden was a one off for me. obv he’s a talented writer. but, i’m still looking for that high I felt with eoe & I haven’t found it any of his other books. grapes of wrath was my last hope, but tbh i’m only 30% in… still time. I think my issue is I like more character driven stories over plot and this is more plot driven
