I wished I had DNF-ed this in December! What was I expecting? Something more delightful. How does he manage to make living in ROME boring?

Interesting but boring...
I wanted deeper insight into the Romans, not necessarily recountings of someone's life as an ex-pat (which is a fancy word for immigrant).

Somehow this book manages to be both interesting and boring in the way some history books are.
