Matthew's adventures are super interesting to me. However, I struggle to connect with some of them because the ease in which he was able to find access and liberation is not relatable for everyone. He is a white, male who can go do these things without fear whereas a woman or a person of color may not receive the same access nor accolades for similar experiences. His words are super inspiring either way.

So far, so good. I am appreciating that throughout the entire memoir he is suggesting that we make decisions w/out fearing for mistakes since you always learn from them. I enjoy that he talks about having morals and values to uphold but how those can help shape your future experiences rather than deter you from them. I related to his need for his father’s approval to start is career in entertainment.
