This reunion is EVERYTHING and yet I'm so exhausted from previous rage, I need to sleep on it and start tomorrow afresh so I can truly enjoy it. L8R

Oh my GOD the gaslighting just never stops in this book. Jack trying to tell Ax that by leaving Leander, he took away Leander's choice. No, Jack, it isn't the same thing AT ALL. Ax left not by choice but because Dana took away Ax's choice, you fucker. STFU.

"But it's a choice you made on MY behalf." STFU Jack. If you can understand this on your own selfish behalf, then you can understand why Dana controlling Ax by taking HIS free will away makes him the biggest piece of shit around. Bigger than boogey man Dru.

Ax's move was brilliant. And then partly ruined by him still empathizing and protecting Dana. And as Dana beats Ax to a pulp because he "has" to, he chants, "How could you make me do this...how could you make me do this..."

Chilling refrain of abusers everywhere. At least I'm beyond anger now. I've gone to that cold, dead place where you dress for vengeance.

Wow, well, if Ax's protest-bomb has accomplished one thing, it's to show Dana's true colors and why he's a total POS and why he'd be the worst possible leader yet again. His answer to anything is violence and disrespect. He would rule via fear, and never really be in charge.

"It would be so nice that it would kill Axton slowly, rotting [him] from the inside out." Well, Ax, it's so NICE that you recognize that. And, that is what you're doing to my respect for you. Rotting it from the inside out. STFU.

"He could have a good life here..." Holy $#!t. The Stockholm syndrome is real. And not the fun stalker romance kind. "The only thing Dana would deny him was the thing that mattered most." Are you even LISTENING to yourself Ax? Do you, does anyone else, get that the one thing--THE ONE THING--that Dana could actually do to MAYBE start to redeem himself from being a worthless POS is the one thing he won't do?

Really. You really can't guess the source of the woman's whose mate was murdered and who was forced to become the mate of his murderer's pain. You're supposedly missing Leander terribly, went feral wolf from missing him, wished for death because of it, and you can't come up with this answer. Really Ax?

Ax, apologizing to Dana. Apologizing. To. Dana. Oh, I'm so sorry for all this pain you've been through! I'm so sorry we didn't talk back when you were being an utter dick to me! I'm so sorry I'm angry at you!

STFU Ax. I'm beginning to seriously dislike you. At this point you might as well just kiss Dana to make him feel better, because this book is apparently all about Dana. It really is. F this BS.

I'm starting to skim. I'm really, REALLY angry that this book has become all about Dana, and Leander is an afterthought. Ax is now fully invested in protecting his bully, while Leander is working on rehab, relearning to walk, to train and fight, and doing all he can to find and be with Ax. In fact I'm beyond anger now, I just want to get through this bullshit to see Ax and Leander together again. Maybe.
