Once this book grabbed me, it grabbed me. It is an interesting and complex look at love and sex through the eyes of a women. The story weaves different kinds of love and sex where she is both victim in some instances and perpetrator in others. It is an engaging read.

The results of the chimp experiment did not make sense to me as a person who has studied altruism. In reality the baby would be put on top on the mom. I googled to see if there was such an experiment having studied psychology for 26 years I was not surprised to find that no such experiment existed. It was fiction. Interesting to read people's outrage at a fictional experiment in a fictional work being fictional.
