I don't think Sieh will beat Oree, with her unique point of view, as my favourite protagonist of this trilogy, but so far, the third book is very engaging.

Whatever misgivings I had about the first book, this is a damn fine trilogy as a whole, and I really enjoy the second book.

Still not a big fan god-sex, but I'm getting used to it. Maybe I'm just prude? :)

I'm not sure why, but I like this book better than the first one. On a side note, the setting reminds of the Spirit World merging with Republic City in the Legend of Korra. It also reminds me of Planescape.

I was a bit stressed and unfocused lately, so it took me longer than it should have, to figure out who Shiny is. Anyway, brilliant! :)

I like The Broken Kingdoms so far. Another interesting and likeable protagonist. The high-magic setting is intriguing. I was complaining that the first book spent too much time in one place, but now I'm thinking maybe it's not so bad if each book is focusing on a particular region.

Done with the first book. If I had to rate it on its own, I would give it 3.5 stars. I liked the protagonist, and while the setting wasn't quite what I expected, it was quite original. At the end of the day, if I had to recommend a few books out of my currently-reading batch, this book wouldn't be among them. Having said that, I wonder what role the gods will play in the remaining books.

Again, going by the book title, I was expecting some kind of vast epicness, but it still feels more like a highbrow supernatural soap that rarely leaves Yeine's bedroom.

This is so far my least favourite chapter (23). Not sure I like where this is going. I hope it doesn't turn completely into a supernatural romance novel.

A good book, but so far I find the title of the first book a bit misleading. Almost all the action and intrigue so far is confined to one, albeit well realised, location. The hundred thousand kingdoms seem to be mere background tapestry and dressing.
