I bought this in Berlin, and it is the beginning of my year of reading more books in translation!
I am reading this slowly; each chapter is a different character/client of the narrator, who is a chiropodist in a neighborhood that used to be Eastern Bloc housing outside of Berlin.
It is charming and I am enjoying the slow read.
