I lost my heart dog Dexter the week before Thanksgiving last year. We were blessed with 14 years together, but it still wasn't long enough. I sobbed over this beautiful little book. It did have words of comfort but the loss is still too much. I feel like part of myself is missing. My 9-yr old niece read aloud the parts that reminded her of Dex which was heartwarming. They were the very best of friends.
