i’m trying to enjoy this as a medusa story a la miller’s circe, but i’m already over 25% through and it feels like i have to force myself to read this. it’s not a medusa story and it feels more historical than actual storytelling. i’ll try to continue and see if it picks up in the second half but it has an extremely lethargic start.
