Picked up this novella on whim and partly as a break between the high-concept short stories in Exhalation (I'm letting the last story percolate a bit). Unexpectedly, I laughed during parts of chapter two of All Systems Red. This was a pleasant surprise as I was thoroughly convinced the lighthearted side of me was for now dead (a visit from Death will do that to you). Thank you Murderbot, thank you Martha Wells.
