An early Batman adventure set in 1939, when the time was ripe of uncertainty and a looming world war. Batman investigates a series of murders perpetrated by zombies of criminals who had been executed by the electric chair. He also teams up by then with a reluctant Jim Gordon. Later, Batman interrupts an execution and somehow gets strapped himself in the electric chair!
