Yeah I’d recommend just skipping to part 2.

I think if I am recommending this to coworkers, I'd just tell them to skip past this first chapter unless they're particularly interested in all of the statistics listed. It's a bunch of numbers and I think it can be intimidating to look at as an expectation for what the rest of the book's content might be.
