This is slowly becoming one of my new favorites. I love Zweig's writing so much. He's able to implement so much detail throughout his stories in ways that my brain cannot fully comprehend. His characters are always so well fleshed out and his stories continuously remained human, but grand enough to be awe worthy. Such a talent!!

I genuinely cannot think of a word that would capture the essence of this book. It's fantastic!! The mellow pace is starting to catch up to me so I've been chipping away at it slower than I'd like, but it's still very enjoyable!

So far, loving this story. I love a book written in the early 20th century as they serve as such an interesting time capsule of storytelling. Yay! Exciting!
