D. Have you finished? How would they arbitrarily decide on "the end", since the monarchy is still in place...?


Christy I finished. He explains his reasons for ending the book at Elizabeth I in the final chapter. In part, from that point on, the kings/queens are not as much the dominant epicenter of politics - other players are as important or more important. Also Shakespeare and his plays about kings also signal a new era. There were a couple other reasons cited. It was a good last chapter.
