absolutely 😭 idk where this book is going but there's no chemistry between the mcs other than a body betrayal syndrome, an mmc who's attracted to seeing the fear on the fmc's face, and purple prose that is just... doing too much all at once lol

yup! they had very few interactions in the first half and all of them were alistair threatening briar while briar tries (miserably fails) to stand up for herself 😭 the progression from bullies to lovers was nonexistent

@afy, sage & briar have absolutely no comparison 😭 sage is a bitch (affectionate) and briar tries so hard to slay (never succeeds) lmaoo but i hope sage stays this way 🤞🤞 i’m also loving how sage tries so hard to keep her true emotions/personality in while rook is unapologetically himself all the time and takes whatever he wants. i guess they’re right when they say opposites attract 🤪

about the 5th, i’m really not very excited for it because of the dead lover trope and silas truly has loved her so passionately (we even see glimpses of it in book 2) so i’m wary because i don’t want coraline (? i think that’s her name) to be like a second choice for him, i’ll feel bad for her 😭 but we do love hurt/comfort hehe

Like alistair was acting so old i was like please stop ✋🏻 and nooooo i give rook book 3 stars it was enjoyable but the dirty talk was kinda 😬 but I enjoyed his story and saga but my favorite was sails 💅🏻🫶🏻🤍🫂 nooo i want thatcher book but i was soooooo eager to get to sails that I skipped 🫣👉🏻👈🏻 but im gonna go back to it soon hopefully 🤸🏻‍♀️
