I'm halfway through The Purpose of Man, and I can honestly say that I am not impressed. Tozer says some powerful things, and I think a lot of them are total hogwash. But, I'm still reading.

I'm in the third book, 'The Crucified Life,' and I must say it is an arduous task to read it. Of the three books included in this volume, this is the most tedious. I tire of judgement by writers to others who don't live the way the author thinks they should. Yes, this book was written decades ago, but every life is different and leading an in-depth Christian Life isn't easy, for anyone.

I finished 'The Purpose of Man'. It's all about worship - learning to truly worship God is the path to truly relishing an intimacy with God that cannot be found anywhere else. He makes some bold statements that I don't necessarily agree with, but his points can make a person think about how much worship is in their life other than Sunday mornings. What I find so incredible is, he wrote this book in the late 1940s.
