The Nazis are winning only because the Jews don’t have an army of their own, but Hirsch is convinced the Jews will never make this mistake again.
I know this is a fictional book but how sad these souls must be to know that in their name people have usurped their suffering in order to commit the same heinous crimes onto another ethno-religious group without an army.
