Could he possibly be more on the nose with this one…

Starting to understand the reason why LotR, a book that is often dismissed for being too long, is actually kind of short for a fantasy epic is because my guy JRR knew when to shut up about battles and skip ahead. This book doesn’t need to be so long.

Brandon using the phrase “killing field” four times in a few chapters is giving me Throne of Glass flashbacks and tbh I hate it.

Has Brandon been reading romantasy between writing book four and five? I feel like he’s trying to appease the romance readers lol.

Starting off my 2025 reading with a book as long as 5 standard novels. Wish me luck. 🫡
