I do like this series. However... I prefer more complex storylines with more than one plot line. This series is very simple, kind of like a cozy mystery of paranormal. If you are looking for paranormal light, this is it. If you want more, try The Dresden Files, Women of the Otherworld, the Alex Verus series or The Hollows.
