Not feeling the chemistry on this one (yet). Lucian frequently calls the heroine, Jaxon, "honey" and that just doesn't seem right for a 2000 year old vampire. Lucian isn't the same character he was at the end of Dark Legend, but it is early yet...still hoping.

So far, so good. But can I just say that it sounds strange that 2000-pluse-years-old Lucian should call Jaxon “honey.” Something a little more formal or Old World, like “my love” would seem more fitting in my opinion.

I am struggling to stay with this one. Jaxon's whiney denials that Lucian is other than human are repetitive to a ridiculous degree since she has seen so much by the midpoint of the book. Still not feeling the chemistry between them...
