After the first 1.5 stories, the tales have progressively felt more “unfinished.” Maybe I’m not reading deeply enough, but there’s very little horror, introspection, or mythology from Latin America (as promised) in this collection that doesn’t feel very cohesive or well-edited. So far, there are only two stories that stand out: the first and “Different Colors Made of Tears.”
