Some cool and noteworthy differences from the movie, like Peeta’s dad visiting Katniss before she leaves for the Capitol and the other visitations, her relationship with her father, and the story of the jabber jays and the mocking birds (ballad of songbird and snakes). Overall feels more detailed.

The story of the avox was completely new and the mentions of district 13 early on are really cool. Cinna’s involvement early on is also really nice to see.
