Agree; this one has that loose, dreamy quality that Straub seems to adopt at the beginning of his books. You have to read for awhile until things start falling into place.

Yeah, I like how it switches between three different styles within the first 10 pages or so. There’s so many characters being introduced on top of each new beginning that it takes a second to get your grounding. But the prose is so very pretty.

I’m reading the ebook and (as usual) I do sometimes find myself searching on a name to see where it was previously mentioned. He sometimes has scenes that seem observational only that later involve the same person you thought you wouldn’t see again.

I’ve never used an ebook. I could see that being a really helpful feature.

I’m pretty much 100% ebook now; it’s just easier on my eyes.
