Some more twists and turns, not everything unexpected but enough to make me pay attention and straighten up in my seat.
Enjoying to dynamics between Violet and her siblings, Violet and her friends. Xaden seems to be fluctuating and I’m not sure I’m on board.
Hot take: would like to see a little more of the new improved Dain.
Otherwise, strapping in for sh*t to hit the fan!

I’ve reached part 2.
So far the pace has begun to improve and the inevitable clash of “goodies vs baddies” has occurred in its initial stages. Glad the plot is progressing!

I am pleased with Dain’s character development, though I think a more controversial take would be to have him choose his other potential path.

The pace has once again slowed in the first half.
The new baddie is quite typical for a sequel - I don’t think I’m far enough in to understand his motives for being a prick.
Violet’s character continues to develop and acknowledgement of her strengths and weaknesses is encouraging.
Looking forward to some more plot development.
