This is really silly but I have an expo spray for my eraser board and I swear that it always moves and I don't move it. I ask my household if anyone has used t because I KNOW I haven't moved it. I think that this plot can thicken if someone is coming into a character's house, stalking him/her, and increasing in his/her antics to make a character think they are losing it. That mystery can totally build.

The last two were pretty recent so I'll tell you about them! A few years back I was in my apartment one night watching the Fuse channel and I saw this DJ playing this song I thought was so beautiful. I promptly searched the artist and his name was Kaskade, an electronic music DJ. The song was "I Remember," a song he did with another named Deadmaus. I quickly threw myself into the EDM world and listened to every song these two created, as well as their remixes. It wasn't until I saw Kaskade live in Vegas that the idea for In Tune was born. Once I got the idea my research was thorough. I attended festivals, met other fans and DJs. I literally wrote In Tune twice because I had so much I wanted to write about, and from many different perspectives until finally, I settled on a DJ and his tour manager.

Music, music and more music. Did I say music? I actually create playlists for every book. Some of them I've shared with readers on Spotify. You can check that out if you'd like. At the beginning of a project, I keep adding songs really fits a scene, and then I just hit repeat while I write. Songs and lyrics have such an emotional pull. It helps me say-- "THAT! That's the feeling and emotion I want to deliver in this scene. This is where my story is!"--whether that is the "meet-cute" the "black moment" or the "happily ever after." Even after a book, if I hear a song I say "This song reminds me of Luke and Leona at the end of In Tune." I love music!

I am currently working two projects: Sea Breeze Seduction Book 2: Bittersweet and the follow-up book to In Tune, which is part of what I presently call my "Electric Series." My readers are really excited about these books and so am I! I can't wait to share! The characters are different and interesting and of course, I love giving readers what I hope are memorable characters and storylines. 2019 will be a very busy year!

Never give up. I know this sounds cliche and aspiring authors hear it all the time but it is the truth. Even if it takes you years to find your editor and/or agent, or it takes you ten years to ever see your author name and books associated with "bestseller," never give up on becoming the best, most successful writer you can be. Everyone's timeline is different!!! Keeping your day job or finding something that gives you more writing time, as well as surrounding yourself with supportive people are all important but whatever you have to do to keep going, do it. Just never give up.

Wow! It's hard to just pick one thing. Hmm...meeting and hearing from readers are near the top of the list. Then there's the romance writing community which is THE BEST in the literary world. Everyone is so supportive and giving of their knowledge to help upcoming authors. However, if I had to say the ONLY best thing about being a writer it would be the time I spend with my characters, getting to know them and developing them and their world, and putting them on the page for my readers to enjoy.

Writer's block is definitely a real thing. For me, it's normally related to getting to know my characters and their arc. This is not always clear and stumps me until I get clear. I like to take a walk, dance or do some form of cardio that will get my circulation going. That often times gets me going as well as releases other creative ideas.
