Hi Yaniv. Thanks for asking. This is a standalone. I do have ideas for other books in this world, but I don’t know if or when I will write them.

(view spoiler)[Hi Yaniv,
My books are for adults. Moon Deeds reads a little Young Adult at times, but there are adult themes. I know several young people who like the books, but Light Fighters in particular has graphic content (sexual assault and substance abuse) that is not suitable for kids. Heliotrope is more gentle but has graphic violence (assassinations and sword battles).
The Star Children Saga (Moon Deeds etc) will have several volumes, at least seven if not more. But the moon story arc will wrap up in a trilogy, ending with Anaximenes. Heliotrope is a standalone but may get a sequel or two or a prequel eventually.
Thanks for asking!

Hi Tucker, Haha, I guess you don't read much epic fantasy ;-).
Moon Deeds is really epic fantasy in science-fiction clothing, and the Star Children Saga series is one long story, broken up arbitrarily to bind it into books. I almost published Part One as Book One, but I tested it with a few people that way, and the response was much better when I ended it where I did. Btw, there's about 50 pages of front and back matter (TOC, Glossary, Illustrations), so the story itself is about 545 pages. The total word count is around 160K. Surely you own some Harry Potter, or the Eragon trilogy? George RR Martin? Brandon Sanderson? Anyway, if it's not for you, DNF is always an option. Fantasy fans relish long books; other people, not so much. Thanks for asking!!

I think they are each mature and immature in different ways and at different times. They are both struggling to deal with their own challenges. I try to make one of them strong when the other is weak, and one of them mature when the other is immature. They protect each other that way, and are motivated to be strong for the other's sake.

I always loved fantasy and science-fiction, and I especially like when the two are combined, like in "Star Wars." That is why am writing a science-fantasy series (the Star Children Saga). One of the most impactful books for me in that crossover genre was Frank Herbert's "Dune." I need to read that again--the last time I read it was many years ago.

Well of course I love all my characters. But one of the funnest to write is Gabira. Her story in Moon Deeds (The Gilded Cave) is the only section that survived intact from the first draft.

A childhood friend and I used to write micro-stories and other writing games. I can thank her for the start of my writing life. One of my brothers is also a writer, and I would say he is the most demanding in terms of quality.

Hi Rafa,
The thing that started it all was a joke gift I received from my brother one Christmas of a deed to a lunar land parcel, complete with the property coordinates, a moon map, and lunar citizenship papers. I considered the possibility that the deed was legitimate, and imagined a scenario where it was passed down to future generations and became vitally important. I tried to imagine an extreme situation where the deed would really REALLY help my descendants. That is how the idea for Moon Deeds was born. :-)
