Tucker Almengor asked Palmer Pickering:

Moon Deeds is one of the longest books I own! What ended up being it's final word count?

Palmer Pickering Hi Tucker, Haha, I guess you don't read much epic fantasy ;-).
Moon Deeds is really epic fantasy in science-fiction clothing, and the Star Children Saga series is one long story, broken up arbitrarily to bind it into books. I almost published Part One as Book One, but I tested it with a few people that way, and the response was much better when I ended it where I did. Btw, there's about 50 pages of front and back matter (TOC, Glossary, Illustrations), so the story itself is about 545 pages. The total word count is around 160K. Surely you own some Harry Potter, or the Eragon trilogy? George RR Martin? Brandon Sanderson? Anyway, if it's not for you, DNF is always an option. Fantasy fans relish long books; other people, not so much. Thanks for asking!!
