I. Merey I finally had the time to answer back! Short answer--yes! I am very interested. I wrote to you through your contact info on your website. My email address, in case you have a vigorous spam-filter, is rysz@traumbooks.com
I. Merey Hi! Your suspicions are well-founded, because I did not get anything through that form (Not even sure where it would go to? Some odd shadow realm?? It's down at the bottom of the page, so honestly, I forgot it even existed. It's simply gone now.) But I do have an email on there, and if you write to rysz@traumbooks.com, I am happy to put you on our ARC list! Just put something like ARC reader in the subject line. Thanks for following up, I would have missed your message :((
I. Merey 'I'm actually writing a paper on your novel'
::starts weeping::
Oh, and my pronouns are he/him~~ :>
(Editing this to say, I'm cool with 'they' too, but basically nobody uses it. :<)
(Also, edited to add that i'm still screaming. or was I weeping? I've written so many papers on people's books, and someone is writing a paper on something I did?? AHHHHH!! (also, I generally hated writing papers on books.. so.. I'm sorry?? too??)
I. Merey Hello back! --and thank you for reading. c:

What was my motivation for making this book-- I've been pondering this question, if you mean what was my inspiration, or what I hoped to achieve by creating it. I really had no motivation, in all honesty. I had written a story and had for a long time, thought it would be great to create a graphic novel. I didn't begin it with the intent/vision of creating something that would be ever published, tbh. That just seemed out of reach. The first drafts I was horribly unhappy with, namely because I had tried to copy how more traditional GNs flowed, and that too, was out of the reach of my creative skill and experience. So I ended up going with a more freehand technique that matched more my subject matter and my own grasping, limited ability.

I do have an idea for another graphic novel! They just take soo much time though ;-; The idea is there, the time, dedication and focus is more what I am lacking right now. But there is still time.

To aspiring writers/creators, I would say, find what you like. Analyze what you like about it. Create what you want to see more of, and add these analyzed pieces of the things you yourself enjoy or are moved by. Create what you want to see or read---for a long time, my books and drawings were conversations I was having that I could not have with anyone in real life. Make your stories and pictures your friends, and other people will befriend them....
I. Merey ahh, hello!

It actually took me a ridiculously long time because I had no experience whatsoever with drawing --when I started this project-- (and very little with writing) and none with the technical layout side of things. :/ So it was very trial and error and redos due to mistakes or just plain doing things wrong the initial time.

I first wrote the story out as a novella and then took way too much time to transfer that story into picture form. I would say it took me 2.5 years from first deciding to do it, to getting it to a publisher, with plenty of screaming into pillows in between.

I am very happy if it got you feeling a certain way <3
I. Merey Hello--and a Happy New Year to you, too! ^)^

I have to confess, I do not often use a style guide, but one I have used before and been satisfied with is this:

Hope that helps!
I. Merey Hello---!
And thank you for writing me! I confess I gave away my last copy >< so I realized I had to get another one (to sign it) and then send back to you. I hope it will reach you soon and I apologize for it taking a while!
Thanks a lot (I can offer you a Kindle copy while you wait--if you do have a Kindle). If not, then I hope the hard copy gets to you soon!
