Getting paid to make up lies. Oh! And working without wearing pants.

Thanks for reading my work! I'm glad you like them. As for the books that were terrifyingly real yet still believable: My Sister's Grave by Robert Dugoni is one I read recently that got to me. Blake Crouch's *69 is another one that gave me chills in the fact that is both creepy and possible. J.A. Konrath's Webcam. Wow. I read it a few months back and have told everybody about it. It still gives me the willies. ANd Robert McCammon's Mine. Holy moly! I think my jaw hit the floor on page two and stayed there until I was done. That was the first book of his I read and it was amazing! As for page turners, there are so many! I remember reading Blake Crouch's Abandon, unable to put it down or do anything else until I'd finished it. About a year ago, I started reading John Rector's books and found that I couldn't stop reading once I'd started. It's that way with all of his books. My housework suffered when I started reading his work. The same happened when I read Joe Hill's NOS4A2, Heart-Shaped Box, and Horns. There are just so many good books to list! There's not much better than reading a book that keeps you up all night until you finish it, is there? :-) What about you? What were some of the books that you couldn't stop reading?

Thanks for asking! I plan to read Dean Koontz's latest novel The Silent Corner, Joe Hill's Strange Weather and Tales From the Dark Side, Ania Ahlborn's The Devil Crept In and Brother, some of Shirley Jackson's works, including The Lottery, and whatever else catches my eye. What about you? What do you plan to read this summer?

She absolutely is! I'm glad you asked. I know this sweet little old lady named Hazel, who really does knit and crochet nonstop. And once her husband died (the second husband she's out-lived), she began sitting in his chair. She absolutely will feed you to death, too. No one walks away from her house hungry. She's almost 87 years old now and still going strong. I love her to pieces and wanted to memorialize her in some way. I'm happy to hear that she left her mark on you. Hope you're enjoying the book. :-)

As with anything, the more you do it, the better you get. Therefore, WRITE WRITE WRITE. Sure, some of the things you write are going to suck and suck hard. But no one starts out the best at what they do. It takes practice, years of honing your skills. And even the seasoned pros who have been writing for decades continue to get better with each story they write. So don't worry about being bad. That's just part of it. The key is learning from your mistakes and constantly moving forward.
