Crumb asked Kimberly A. Bettes:

Hi Ms Bettes! I have read your books and really like them. What are your favorite books that are terrifyingly real yet still believable? What are some page turners that you have stayed up into the wee hours to finish? I love hearing what authors like to read! Thanks!

Kimberly A. Bettes Thanks for reading my work! I'm glad you like them. As for the books that were terrifyingly real yet still believable: My Sister's Grave by Robert Dugoni is one I read recently that got to me. Blake Crouch's *69 is another one that gave me chills in the fact that is both creepy and possible. J.A. Konrath's Webcam. Wow. I read it a few months back and have told everybody about it. It still gives me the willies. ANd Robert McCammon's Mine. Holy moly! I think my jaw hit the floor on page two and stayed there until I was done. That was the first book of his I read and it was amazing! As for page turners, there are so many! I remember reading Blake Crouch's Abandon, unable to put it down or do anything else until I'd finished it. About a year ago, I started reading John Rector's books and found that I couldn't stop reading once I'd started. It's that way with all of his books. My housework suffered when I started reading his work. The same happened when I read Joe Hill's NOS4A2, Heart-Shaped Box, and Horns. There are just so many good books to list! There's not much better than reading a book that keeps you up all night until you finish it, is there? :-) What about you? What were some of the books that you couldn't stop reading?
