T.A. Williams Hi Jennifer. No, I'm afraid I've never had the opportunity to visit California. I've seen enough views of it on TV to be sure that it's a lovely place. Yes, naming a shop after a dog strikes me as immensely sensible. I'm delighted you've been enjoying my work. To be honest, I think it's quite therapeutic for me as well to remind me of so many beautiful places I have visited over my life. Thanks again and look after yourself.
T.A. Williams Hi Lisa. All of my books are standalone so in theory you can read them in any order. If you are talking about my murder mysteries (Armstrong and Oscar) there is a progression in the personal life of the main protagonist so it's possibly a bit better for you to start with book one which is Murder in Tuscany. Thank you for your interest in my work. Do please let me know what you think of my stuff. I'm always interested to hear. Trevor
T.A. Williams Hi Molly. Good of you to contact me. I'm delighted you're enjoying my work. If you're reading my romances then there's no special order. They are all stand alone. If you're reading my murder mysteries (Armstrong and Oscar series) they are also all standalone but it's probably best if you begin with the first in the series, Murder in Tuscany, because there's a certain amount of story development from there on even though, as I say the books can all be read as individual titles. To let me know how you get on and thanks again. Trevor
T.A. Williams Hi Mark. The answer is not now. I had a yellow lab and then a black Labrador, the best dog in the whole wide world, but he died and my wife told me she couldn't go through that again so we haven't had a dog since. Dogs are fully paid up members of the family and losing him was a terrible wrench for both of us. That's why I try to put a black lab into every book as a homage to him.
Thanks for asking and thanks for your interest in my work
Trevor
T.A. Williams Thanks a lot, Linda. As you can probably tell, I have a long and lasting love of Italy and of Tuscany in particular. I lived and worked in Florence for four years and take every opportunity to go back and visit friends over there. Florence is indeed an amazing place and I'm delighted if my writing has helped you relive some of your past experiences. Please let me know how you get on if you read any more of my books. Thanks again and look after yourself. Trevor
T.A. Williams Hi Betty. It's really nice of you to take the time to contact me. As far as romance is concerned, the place is really far less important than the person but there are, I have to admit, a few places that do definitely lend themselves to romance. I suppose my number one would probably be Venice. There is something about the place – as well as romance, there is history, culture, tradition and just the sheer outstanding beauty of it. As far as my own personal experience of romance is concerned, I met my wife in the classroom (before you write to the authorities, I should point out that I was teaching adults in an evening class) so maybe a classroom should be added to the list after Venice.
Thanks again for getting in touch and I am delighted you like my work. Trevor

T.A. Williams Thank you so much for your interest in my books. I’m glad you like them.
The bad news is that the clifftop restaurant is totally the fruit of my imagination. That part of the Mediterranean coast between Nice and Italy is absolutely stunning, very inaccessible (apart from my boat – or seaplane!) and I just felt there had to be a special millionaires’ restaurant there. But, I’m afraid it’s just imagination. Thanks again and sorry to disillusion you.
T.A. Williams Hi Andrea. The answer is that I really don't know. I hope so, and there are murmurings, but nothing definite. One definite development is that Dreaming of Venice is coming out as an audiobook later this year. As for print, I'll keep my fingers crossed. Thanks for asking.
