When I'm not writing, I enjoy tinkering in my workshop creating knick-knacks and fixing things.
My latest joy is attempting to re-learn playing guitar . Although my lack of musical talent makes that process painful for others in the household, I quite enjoy it.
On the culinary side, I'm pretty good at baking buns, biscuits, and cookies.

So, I go and work on a different chapter, or make short plot notes about various aspects that come to mind, or maybe just do a bit of proof-reading and general clean-up. The important thing is to continue to do SOMETHING with the book. Worst comes to worst, I go and take a nap ... the cats always appreciate a lap to lay on.(less)

Each word has a page with the definition, pronunciation, the origin, and an old-time illustration.

Many of the words have fallen out of common usage, but I found a few that I know and have used for years.

This is a charming, delightful, and thought-provoking book.

Hi, fellow Brian, always looking at the options, I confess I'm not that tech-savvy. I will research Kobo; although I write a lot of short stories, they work well on KDP.
I'm considering D2D. Do you have any experience with them?

A lovely informative and entertaining book.
I'd never before realized that depth in time of the notebook, and how technology affected it AND us.
I was really quite amazed at how such a simple idea resonates from the distant past and into the present.

The Subtle Art of Resistance by Stewart Reynolds
"A bit disappointing. The resistance parts are highly simplified. I didn’t really expect a deep dive in a 45 page book with cat illustrations but it still seemed thin. I expected more humor with the cat angle—I like Brittlestar’s gently biting humor. " Read more of this review »
