Clare Kauter writes laugh-out-loud funny books across genres, including mystery, romantic comedy and paranormal fiction. She is known for her loveable hot mess characters, dubious puns and occasional (OK, frequent) inappropriate jokes.

Clare isn’t going to tell you where she lives, because she always finds it weird when other authors do that in their bio. Why would you care? Unless you’re a stalker, in which case it’s probably better if she doesn’t give you a head start.

At any given moment she’s probably sipping tea while hunched over her pink keyboard in a super attractive posture, writing her next book and snorting like a piglet at her own jokes.

Clare posts regularly on her blog – drop by and say hi!

I sometimes pretend I do, so I can mope around the house being dramatic and sighing a lot, but really that's just procrastination. My best advice is to just sit down and write. Some days it's slow. Other days I crank out 10 000 words. You've just got to write. If I'm really sick of what I'm working on, I'll then work on something else for a little while. Usually the shine will wear off that pretty quickly and then I'll go scurrying back to the book I'm meant to be working on.(less)

“Why is it that every time you do something you hope no one will notice, you get found out? I once read that the probability of someone watching you is directly proportional to the stupidity of the action.”
Clare Kauter, Losing Your Head
