Brave, The Sonnet

Say o brave, o soldier of eternal heights,
May I be decapitated before my head bows.
Say o brave, o explorer of impossibility,
May I feed another while my stomach growls.
Say o brave, o pedestrian of purity,
I obey no law for I'm the epitome of rightness.
Say o brave, o athlete of amor and amity,
I am sheer insanity exuding real saneness.
Say o brave, o bearer of benevolence,
I am disaster, blaster and master of destiny.
Say o brave, o vessel of valiance,
I devour fear, greed, pride and insecurity.
Say o brave, I am the seed of all assimilation,
The first one standing, earthquakin' egalitarian.

Sonnet of Stagnation

Stagnated water breeds disease,
When in motion it breathes life.
Stagnated mind breeds segregation,
When in motion it breaks divide.
Stagnated air breeds pollution,
When in motion it brings rejuvenation.
Stagnated ideas breed prejudice,
When in motion they bring illumination.
We are not a species, we are a family,
A stagnated psyche cannot feel its delight.
Open your eyes from your rigid sleep,
In your vision the world will unite.
All animals are bound to live in stagnation.
Only human neurons hold the capacity for expansion.

Ours is an Age of Reckoning | Abhijit Naskar | Pani, Agua, Water, It’s All One

Ours is an age of reckoning – savages call it wokeness, I call it correctiveness. And it is only through correction that this savage species might, just might, one day become human. It is only through correction we apes might one day usher into the dawn of humanity.

As usual, those who are fixed in the ways of the forefathers would instantly react to this as woke propaganda. So be it.

Propaganda is everywhere – bigoted apes give in to their primitive ancestry and propagate hate and division – I, a civilized ape, refuse my innate primitiveness and choose to propagate love and inclusion. Savages choose tradition, I am human, so I choose transformation.

“Abandon divide, adopt but life. Contain the world in your chest of light.” Abhijit Naskar | Pani, Agua, Water, It’s All One

“Sonnet 1284

Human chest contains miracles of the cosmos,
Animal chest contains but the brutal jungle.
Choice is yours, what shall you facilitate –
a world of brutality or a world of miracle!

Be a miracle or be an animal, choice is yours;
In your veins brews the dream of civilization.
The world is in dire need of miracle humans,
There is no such thing as miracle animal.

This ribcage ends up a prison most times,
But it can also be a sanctuary – a paradise.
Entertain hate, and you are a prisoner;
Give in to love, lo you usher into light!

Abandon divide, adopt but life.
Contain the world in your chest of light.”

“Even a whisper of love rings hurricane supreme.” Abhijit Naskar | Iman Insaniyat, Mazhab Muhabbat: Pani, Agua, Water, It’s All One

Be the living hope in action,
Not a couched coward of inaction.
Crushing all cowardice of detachment,
Get involved bravely till annihilation.

Wield forth your nerves of steel,
With your heart soaked in honey.
Wield forth your vision valiant,
With your feet grounded in humility.

When all blow the horns of hate,
When peace sounds absurd and dim,
Fear not and take a deep breath,
Even a whisper of love
rings hurricane supreme.

Decolonized History Lesson (Sonnet 1546) | Abhijit Naskar | World War Human: 100 New Earthling Sonnets

Early Arabs and Indians
invented astronomy and algebra,
Early white people invented
genocide and massacre.

Indigenous Latinos invented chocolate,
Early Chinese invented printing.
Early Caucasians invented cockiness,
calling invasion as civilization-bringing.

Modern Arabs build cities in the desert,
Modern whites still burn down cities.
Modern Indians democratize space exploration,
Modern whites still manufacture disparities.

Modern whites coddle hate and prejudice,
and use free speech as justification.
If any humane white ever questions hate,
they’re branded, woke traitor to the nation.

Till this day, white people manufacture
99% of the world’s human rights violations.
If you right the wrong, it’s cussed as wokeness,
To support white terrorism is patriotism.

Illumination Manifest (Youth Sonnet, 1528) | Abhijit Naskar | World War Human: 100 New Earthling Sonnets

Youth are the cure
for all dividing insanity.
You are the antidote
to all bewitching animosity.

Don’t confuse youth as a measure
of agist conventionality.
Youth is but a sanctifying dawn,
out of the dusk of rigidity.

Youth is the spirit of play
with the forces of ominosity.
Youth is the conquest of death
into the daring pastures of duty.

Youth are absolution to habits of death.
Youth are walking illumination manifest.

Naskar Syndrome (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | The Divine Refugee

If you value mission over money,
you got the Naskar syndrome.
If you value mind over machine,
you got the Naskar syndrome.

Value listening over scrolling,
and you got the Naskar syndrome.
If you value behavior over belief,
you got the Naskar syndrome.

If you value rights over ritual,
you got the Naskar syndrome.
If you value life over doctrine,
you got the Naskar syndrome.

Rise, revolt and roar for reform,
then you are my soldier of dawn.
Awake, aspire, and ascend in light,
then you are my fulfilled vision.

Humanitarian Wildfire (The Sonnet) | Abhijit Naskar | The Divine Refugee

Naskareans can come from any field of life,
many are nerds, some athletes, others artists.
All united by a common humanitarian vision,
all standing unbent for humane advancement.

I’ve even left some modest material of fiction,
for the naskarean filmmakers of the future.
Then there is the fathomless dimension of sonnets,
add some music and you’re a naskarean composer.

I have left behind something for everyone,
no matter your walk of life or taste of heart.
Show me a spark of social responsibility,
I shall turn it into humanitarian wildfire.

Sonnet 2000 (My Real Legacy) | Abhijit Naskar | When World Cries Blood: 90 New American Sonnets (First Look)

April, 2025 marks 10 years of Naskarism, since the release of “The Art of Neuroscience in Everything”, in April, 2015. 2025 also happens to be the year the world receives its first 2000th sonnet, in my 120th work “When World Cries Blood”. The first Naskarean Sonnet appeared in my first work of peacemaking “Fabric of Humanity”, in 2018 – Sonnet 1000 in “Himalayan Sonneteer: 100 Sonnets of Unsubmission”, in the year 2022 – and now with one foot in 2025, I give you Sonnet 2000.

“Sonnet 2000 (My Real Legacy)

My real legacy is not the books or the sonnets,
but the unbending humanitarians I’ve set on fire.
The literature is just a vessel for the spirit,
spirit of a world united, in reason and in care.

Ceaseless slurs are daily occurrence,
Mindless hate indeed plenty I face.
Yet I’ve kept all vengeance in check,
Never have I ever been lost in bitterness.

I am the line that I’ve drawn for myself,
Can’t tell you how to behave, how not.
I stand steady as the human impossible,
Rest is up to you, what to take, what not.

I don’t come from wealth, nor could I amass any,
I set out with zero dollars, and no publicity.
World integration is my life’s first madness –
this madness I leave for you, now it’s your duty.”
