Hello all today I thought I would talk about inspiration.

As a writer, inspiration is a big part of the creative process when you write, you need something to be inspired by whether a person, subject or an occurrence in your life that just inspires you.


But what if none of these things are present how do you find that inspiration to keeps the creative juices flowing?

How do you get inspired?

What motivates you to keep you going so that creative energy doesn't stop and goes where you want it to go?

Inspiration is an essential part for all of us whether writer, artist, whatever field you are in, you need something to inspire you.

My inspirations are things in my daily life that happen and I think oooh actually I could use that and turn it into something awesome and inspiration can come when I am out and about, in bed, watching a movie or just being quiet and sometimes in the shower which proves my next point you never know where your next piece of inspiration will come from and when it will come. :)

Hello all, I just wanted to touch base with you. I was having some issues with my book and the way it looked so I decided to have a professional formatter format the manuscript for me!

I spoke to my cover designer and friend Johannus Steger about this and he suggested the contact and set it all up between me and the manuscript formatter, I sent it to her and it was done very fast.

I am simply thrilled with what this lady has done and I have so much more confidence in it now than I did before, it is not only neater but on a whole is a much better piece of work and there was so many extras I was not expecting! It is so much clearer to read now, has a real edgy look to it and all in all I am very happy. Angelique Anderson, did a fantastic job on it and all within a day, absolutely amazing. My favourite part is the little daggers on the chapter headings, simply mesmerizing!

So with this new addition to it, I have made all the changes on Createspace and Amazon and doing the kindle version now as we speak so within a day or two, it should be back up online for purchase. This is very exciting and I will update you all again when it is up, this does of course mean a new giveaway as it is a NEW edition :)

Hello everyone, Isra here. You may have heard me mention the Mercury Retrograde in my last post and I imagine some of you are wondering what this phenomenon is. Well I'm going to tell you.

Mercury Retrograde is the name for when the planet Mercury actually goes back, into retrograde instead of forward, and this can be quite an auspicious time as we can sit back, review and think on some things we have done and also complete things we have unfinished.

Now there are some pitfalls, Mercury dominates communication as well as other elements, so don't make big decisions, don't start new projects, don't sign contracts, don't enter into a new relationship or partnership are just some of the things to avoid when Mercury is in Retrograde.

Of course that doesn't mean you should hide under the duvet for this entire time as you could be missing out on something really awesome! Let me explain. The Mercury Retrograde lasts for about three weeks, it started on April 23rd when Mercury entered the shadow, this time and will go back to it's direct state on 22nd May so during this time we can sit back and reflect and work on with our current projects that we have started, note, do not start anything new during Mercury going Retrograde.

Many aspects of our past will return during this time and I am feeling strong past life connections, centred around romantic relationships, relationships that were started around this time or just before, will likely end before the Retrograde is over. Past lovers may return and we may be forced to think about and reflect on what we really want, for ourselves in our lives! Mercury is all about the three R's, so review, reflect and rethink is the key to getting the best out of this time. Now many astrologers and witches, say don't do spells or ask for new things during this period but I say it is a powerful time to bring about what you want the most, so while asking for new things is definitely out for this one, it is okay to perform spells for other things at this time, such as prosperity, rekindling an old romance, protection spells for yourself and the home, maybe even your business and also healing because truthfully, this is a powerful and most magickal time, so don't waste it.

Well I hope that gave you some insight into what Mercury Retrograde is all about. I have been involved in the paranormal as well as the witchcraft world and spirituality for long as I can remember so naturally I need to know about what the planets are doing as well.

Hello everyone, Isra here. I really didn't plan this post today but as a spell caster and witch it is a topic that comes up a LOT. Lots of people who contact spell casters such as myself, also contact psychics... Now just so you know I am indeed, psychic but I don't exploit my gifts and I try to help as best as I can, although I don't do this professionally as my love is in the creative pursuits but of course I still have a gift so I try to help as much as I can when I can.

Now the truth is most psychics are just nasty people who want to take your money and then after, they have your money, you are simply just another transaction to them.

Here's another truth: Psychics rely on you being unhappy, confused and stuck. This is what keeps them in business.

It's a hard pill to swallow but this is what gets them the most readings and of course the most money. Now I'm not saying all psychics are money grabbing, nasty imbeciles because that isn't true, there are some nice ones out there. I have yet to meet someone who is psychic and doesn't thrive off the financial side of it, but there are nice ones out there. I just have yet to encounter them.



Now I get a lot of messages concerning psychics so I'm more than qualified to post this. And I'm sure this post will ruffle a few feathers but I want to give people guidance, before they go for a reading.

As mentioned before I'm a witch and spell caster as well as psychically gifted and this is the most common thing I get sent in messages by people who come to me for help:

“Do you think you could read into things and tell me if (insert name here) is coming back to me, or if certain thing is happening.. I have bought a few readings and they said yes.”


Okay so this happens a lot, people buy readings from about five or six, sometimes more psychics in the hope that they can get the answers they need or want... It's most commonly, want.

Now when you buy a reading, you are supposed to sit back and let things play out. Most psychics won't actually tell you this, but you aren't meant to get another reading for six months. Let's be real if a psychic had to wait six months for a client they'd be close to broke. But of course, what they also don't tell you, is that too many readings, as I mentioned, at once can seriously confuse you and the energies and this can also produce a very negative thing. Because things can happen and manifest that you don't want too and nobody wants that, but again most psychics won't tell you this.



Okay now I'm going to give you some DO's and DON'Ts when you purchase a reading, if you absolutely think you need to.

Here are the DO's:

1. Do give your real birth name, even if it is only your first. It will help with the connection.
2. You can send a photo of yourself if it is an online reading. This won't allow your psychic to get any other information about you, unless they are truly psychic.
3. Communicate with your psychic truthfully so that the best possible connection can be formed.


Here are the DON'Ts:

1. Don't give out your date of birth. This can allow your psychic to do so much research about you and know more than they should, if they are truly gifted they won't ask for this.
2. Don't give out too much information about your situation to the psychic, they should be able to pick up on this themselves without you filling them in on vital information that they could use to give a reading. Yes believe me, this happens!
3. Don't give out your credit card number, address or any other personal or financial information, you could have your credit card cloned, or they may be able to obtain credit in your name and use your name illegally, (identity fraud)
4. Don't purchase a reading when you are unhappy, low or suicidal, I know this one might be hard to do, but any nasties out there, will absolutely thrive on your state of mind and it could even lead you to believing things that aren't true.



One more thing: If a psychic ever tells you the following, please do not hand over any money, don't go through with the reading and run like hell!

“You are cursed but I can remove it for $600, (or any amount)”

If this happens, please ignore it and do not hand over any money. If a psychic tells you, you are cursed, do not believe it. They are preying on your vulnerability and fear and are banking on you believing you are cursed and that you will be relying on them to help YOU. Of course you are never in any danger, until you believe this nonsense.



So you believe you need a reading! Well I'm going to give you some things to do that you can do yourself, without parting without a single penny.

1. Meditate, get into your calm state and focus on your issue and ask for guidance.... you can also ask your spirit guide to connect with you and give you this guidance too. We all have spirit guides and they are here to help us, whether we know that or believe it or not.
2. Talk to a friend, who doesn't know about your situation and don't fill them in too much. Now I know this might sound silly, but we all use our intuition and someone who doesn't know about it might be able to pick up more than what you can. They could also advise you on what to do, you don't have to take their advice but use your judgement when you decide what to do.
3. This one you may find surprising. Type in “free tarot reading” on google, there will be at least five websites at the top of this page where you can get an automated tarot reading without having to part with a penny. Now this normally shows as a deck of tarot cards and you will see a message on the screen asking you to focus on your issue. Next you will be asked to choose your cards, so you would simply click on the ones you are drawn too, this may not be the best solution, but it may provide some answers not previously found and if it doesn't it's free and it's done by a computer, so no cost and no shame or embarrassment.
4. Learn to read tarot cards yourself. This is not as hard as it sounds, again we all have intuitive gifts, it's just sometimes we are not aware of them or sometimes we are too aware of them and fearful of them also. Most tarot cards will come with a guide book that will give you the basic meanings, but I want you to actually “read” the card. Study it carefully. Read what it feels like. Listen carefully for anything that comes to mind as you look at it. Hidden messages can come in the form of images, words and even whole sentences, have your senses open and your mind open also. Pay attention to how you feel when you see the card. This all helps to form a better interpretation that comes from the heart, rather than the ego.
5. Make sure you are rested, are eating well and getting enough exercise and sleep. Because if you are not, all of these can contribute to low mood, bad state of mind as well as depression, confusion and feeling like you are off balance. Which a psychic will use to their advantage.


If you have done all of these steps and you still feel like you need a reading then proceed carefully.


Psychics are everywhere online, they are on google, they have their own websites and some you will find on websites such as Etsy, Ebay etc. These are the ones I would advise you to steer clear of the most.

Also be cautious of the ones that charge certain amount of money per minute. In most cases, they call you up and process your credit card for payment. Now after the reading, they would then charge your card for however long you were on the phone to them for, but I'd be extra vigilant here because they could be charging you more and you don't know. Again I would totally avoid these types, most of all.

When you select a reader, take a look at their rating and their reviews. If they have a lot of good reviews that's a sign that people have been satisfied with their service. If they have a lot of negative reviews, then move on.

Another thing you should take into account is their experience, are they trained, are they self taught? Do they have a degree in their field? Something else to take note of, is that their experience, is something they can very easily lie about, so keep your wits about you and if something smells fishy, it probably is.

Some psychics allow you to consult with them before you purchase. This is a rarity in itself but you can use this consultation to get more information about your reader. If you feel like they are withholding anything or avoiding questions, then that is a sure sign not to go through with the purchase.


I realise I am probably going to ruffle a lot of feathers with this post and maybe even make some quite angry but what I am telling you here is, in fact, the truth!

I'm not tarring all psychics with the same brush, but from my own experience and the amount of emails I get detailing the bad experiences people go through. I wanted to give people the facts and to help them make better choices when it comes to dealing with psychics.

Even I try to avoid them and I am psychically gifted myself, I also try to avoid doing readings because it can lead to people relying on you and they get their hopes up over so much very easily but any time someone does ask me to do a reading, which I do for free, I am always honest and I will advise them if I feel I cannot help but most will not take that initiative and they will thrive on your emotions, your state of mind and your situation.


So really my aim here was to inform people of what is what in the psychic reading world and help them form a better choice for themselves. I've disclosed a lot of factual information, here that I know most won't mention but I believe the truth needs to be heard and if someone truly needs help, the best thing you can give them is the TRUTH.

Hello everyone we have a lot to report for September. It is very exciting and I know it is the end of September but there is a lot coming up. I have finally set up the giveaway for "Her Blackened Soul" on Goodreads. This is going to be very exciting because it is open to USA as well, whereas last time, it was just UK and Europe and it is for two signed copies of the book, which is very exciting! I am also in the process of getting very close to finishing the sequel to "Her Blackened Soul" and this one is named "Her Blackened Heart" so hopefully by November, I will be sending that to my editor and ready to release that one as well.

In the meantime we have beautiful autumn, known in the USA as fall and it is such a magickal and auspicious time, as the leaves change colour and then fall and the season gets us ready for the coming winter as everything is crisp and colourful. Think of warm bonfires, cold nights, long hoodies and endless hugs. Lots of very happy things.

Of course in October, we have Halloween, known as Samhain, on October 31st, which is the one day of the year where those who have passed on, our ancestors, can return to us. It is also a perfect time for rituals to bring about change, transformation and for bringing wishes to fruition. I will post a blog about Halloween traditions and spells, just before Halloween occurs for those who may be interested in witchy pursuits but simply may not know much about it.

I also hope to be able to keep up with my twitter and blog posting during this time, which has been a little disrupted by my health in recent months but I am happy to say, is a lot better now so I am looking forward to better and brighter things ahead.

Hello everyone, I didn't plan this blog today, however this is something that does crop up, especially with me and that is "reasons to write".

What are your reasons to write? What motivates you? What inspires you?What keeps the words flowing from the keys/ pen to paper/ word document? What keeps you going when you feel like giving up? Let's explore this.

My reasons to write are as follows:

1.I love writing.
2. I enjoy seeing my work in print with my name above it.
3. I find happiness and enjoyment in writing my stories and this in turn also motivates me.
4. My writing is a calling, not a job.
5. I feel strongly that my character's stories need telling.
6. I WANT to write.


Now what motivates you? All of us are motivated to do something in life. Motivation is a strong thing, it keeps us focused and guided by this feeling that we are doing something worthwhile that will bring us to greatness.

Here are my motivations:

1. I don't like being bored and creativity stimulates me and that alone is motivation.
2. Not wanting to be like anyone else. (This is kinda egosticial some say, but I pride myself on the fact I am different.)
3. Nature and the Universe.
4. My loved ones.
5. Seeing that people love my writing/ novels.
6. Hearing that somebody has bought a copy of my novel.
7. Hearing congratulations on your latest book!

Inspiration and motivation are different things, so before I list my inspirations and what inspires me, let's look at what inspirations are.
Inspiration is something that comes in the form of an idea, a few words, an image, maybe visual with sounds and images so clear, it may like watching a film. People may inspire you, as well as places, thoughts and things.

My inspirations. What inspires me:

1. Love. This may sound cliche, but it's up there for me!
2. Nature.
3. Weather. Especially Thunder and Lightning, this is something that definitely inspires me.
4. Kind words from strangers.
5. The beauty of the world, that is our universe.
6. The magick in everyday day life.
7. Positive Quotes.
8. Human beings that I may know/ or encounter. (Some people have ended up in my stories and have no idea) :P
9. General occurrences in every day life. (This may sound mundane and boring but I observe, and when I observe, I see.)

What keeps the words flowing? Now this is a big one for many of us. Not many of us would like to admit it, but at some point, we ALL suffer from the good old demon writer's block! It happens. It is life. It is something that sometimes we simply can't avoid, but the real question is how you do you keep things flowing when everything seems dry? What brings the words to the screen/ the paper? What can you do to keep them flowing when all seems lost? You're typing the words but yet you feel like they don't fit in with the story or maybe you feel like they are meaningless and are ready to hit the delete button!

Here are my ways to keep the words flowing:

1. Re-read what I last wrote. So in this case I would re-read the last 5-8 pages that I last wrote.
2. Read them about 5 times.
3. Take a moment to stop and think about where the story is going.
4. Think about where you want it to go.
5. Browse positive quotes on google.
6. Take a break. Stop what you are doing, do something else, then come back to it!
7. Envision your scenes as if they are actually happening. (Imagination is a big part in writing)

Now for the last part, what keeps you going when you feel like giving up? What is going to be the crucial moment that stops you from giving up and keeps you going? What is going to stop you from saying, "This is a complete waste of time. I give up!" ? What thoughts are going to keep you focused and motivated? I know I'm asking a lot of questions here, but I want you to think. Think deeply and carefully about each question and what it means to you. It is our thoughts that strengthen us and in turn, can also motivate us. The more we think, the more we learn.

Here are my things that stop me from giving up:

1. Not wanting to disappoint readers who won't know how my stories are going to end if I give up.
2. If I start something, I have to finish it.
3. By giving up, all the people that aren't fond of me win by me failing, by me giving up.
4. Giving up is not an option.
5. By not giving up I get stronger.

What is Manifestation?

Hello everyone, Isra here. Today I want to talk about manifestation, now I've asked a few of you across twitter and Facebook about what the word manifest means to you and you came out with some pretty interesting answers!


Rachel Jennings Kenney said: To me, it means to see something more clearly by watching for signs or by actions.

Others said: It's about making something happen!

The second answer is closer to the truth.


The truth is manifesting is about creating, now not just creating but in the sense that we create our world, because we do! We create our reality, we shape it, by the things and thoughts we think and by the feelings we feel and the things we say! Still confused? Let's go back to childhood and look at all the birthday cakes you had, you would have candles on top of the cake, to represent the age you had become and then you'd make a wish? Remember that? Well manifesting is like making a wish but there's a bit more to it.

Thanks to the Law of Attraction and The Secret, this process is quite well known, but it's not well known enough! Millions of people out there still don't have what they want, because quite simply they don't know, that they possess this power to create! And that's not all, lots of you out there believe you are NOT worthy of having what you want and having the life you desire, so guess what? The universe doesn't give it to you! Because you are telling the Universe, I don't want that, I don't deserve that! And if I still haven't convinced you, after this paragraph, it's because of one reason, your mindset.

If you think negatively or complain, or feel bad or anything that isn't good, happy or positive, well guess what? The universe answers to that! By giving you, what you are focusing on. if you are focusing on bad luck, being cursed, well my friend, that is the exact vibration you are putting out into the world and that is exactly what you will get!

If you think happy, feel good and feel immensely positive about everything you do and write up goals list, things you'd like to bring into your life and focus on all the things you want, then sooner or later, the universe will give those things to you! Ask and it shall be given!

In the same context it's like the genie in Aladdin, the man pulls out the lamp and out appears the genie and the genie tells him he has three wishes, now think of the universe as your genie but the wishes are universal and they are unlimited! There is no limit to what you can manifest and bring to you! If you put limits on yourself and your abilities in life, those limits will stay there, because of YOU and ONLY you!

I love this quote, "The only limits in your life are the ones you create with your mind. " by Unknown. Because it exactly right, the only limits there are in life, are the ones created by YOU in your mind!

So if you truly believe in yourself, that you can have these things you desire, they will come flying into your life before you know it!

You may rember in Part 1 of this blog post, I touched on manifesting and what it is and explained a bit more about it. I explained how there is no limit to what you can create as long as your thoughts, words and feelings are in harmony.

Tonight we will talk about how to manifest! Now the same principle applies with the birthday cake scenario, you make a wish and you blow out the candles, you remember doing that? Well manifesting has a little touch with that but there's a bit more of a process to it.

Let's start with something simple, think about something you want to bring into your life. It can be anything! Remember there are no limits to what you and your mind can create!

It could be a cup of coffee, a bit of extra money needed to pay an upcoming bill, a new job, something you've seen in a shop and want to have. Think about what you want, I mean really think about what you want.

Now picture it in your mind and imagine what it would be like to have that thing in your possession, how good it feels, how happy you feel and how grateful you are to have it. The visualisation needs to feel real, it needs to be solid. You need to feel like you really have this desired thing in your life or it won't work.

And if you are thinking right now, "well it's not going to work anyway" then manifesting is not going to be for you! You need patience, belief in yourself and belief in the magick of the creation! If you don't have that, then of course it isn't going to work! If your thought process isn't aligned with the thought process and feeling of when you have this thing, then you're not going to be able to be in sync with that thought process in order to bring it to you in the first place!

I would actually spend around twenty to thirty minutes on your visualisation if you are doing it for the first time or do it until you feel like it feels real enough for you! It must feel real! When you are at that stage and you can clearly see yourself having this thing in your mind, then you are ready to move onto
the next step. Gratitude.

Now you need to feel grateful to the Universe for giving you this thing that you so badly wanted. How does it make you feel having this? What emotions are you feeling? Are you excited? Is your blood pumping? What does it feel like and then write down in your own words, starting with, " I am really grateful for," and add the thing you are grateful for having and why you are grateful for it and add in any feelings you are feeling, so if you are feeling happy, write that down too!

Begin a journal of which to note down your manifesting desires and in each entry, write down your desire, like this so for example, "I am so grateful for the 1000 followers on my Isrs Sravenheart twitter account, thank you, thank you, thank you," and write each desire at least ten times and always write it in the present time and start with "I am so grateful" because this puts you in the creative and gratitude mindset. This is crucial when doing any manifesting!

Add to it every day and there won't be any short supply to what you can bring to you.

Another thing you can do is the vision board, this could be where you make a collage of everything you want or you could paint it, draw it, use any creative means to create this board of which you will look at daily, and think of your goals as manifested.
