Okay so now for the exciting part, I am a self taught jewellery maker and resin artist... many of you are probably not aware of that but it's going to play a very big part in these giveaways.

The first thing here is for me to create the merchandise and I have a tonne of ideas surrounding that, if you wish to suggest anything or themes in which to base the prizes you are more than welcome to do that! I do plan a raven trinket box, based on Astrid the raven. Magically themed jewellery with witch, moon, wicca, raven themes and literally a tonne of stuff which I will posting the progress on my facebook, twitter and instagram pages so keep an eye out for those because that's where you are going to see what's going to be on offer!

Along with each giveaway there will be amazon gift card and ebooks. I may enlist other authors to donate their ebooks as well but for now it will purely be myself as like said before I need to create the merchandise!

Hello everyone, I apologise as it's been a while since I updated anything on here!

I was very happy to see the follower number today so that made my day!

So what's been happening?

Well "Her Blackened Heart" is still in editing phase, so please be patient with that one. It is more than halfway done so we are looking at an August/ September release!

I've had a review of things concerning my social media and I have done a tonne of updating just so that everything is clear to readers of what's what on my social media pages! I do try and keep things regularly updated but then I am human and forget things as well!

"Tainted Siren" is now more than halfway through so my time has mainly been focused on that as I want to get this one finished hopefully by end of July or middle of August at the latest as it's booked for editing in October. This is a novella for the Sirens & Scales boxset that I am part of! Once I have finished "Tainted Siren" I will get back to working on "Her Blackened Rose" :)

Hello everybody well it's here, after months and weeks of waiting all has been done and "Her Blackened Heart" is here.

This one took a while as I had to wait on editing delays as well as get a proper cover designed. I went through three potential covers before I got the one I wanted. Yes cover design is more complex for authors than it seems! You can't always rely on one designer as designs quickly get dated but always be encouraged to pick and choose to find the one that is most visually appealing.

So an introduction to the story! "Her Blackened Heart" is the long awaited sequel to "Her Blackened Soul" it features Lady Isra and the devilish Astrid as well as some new characters and we learn more about Isra's and Astrid's pasts respectively. This novel gets to the heart of the story and goes much deeper than "soul" could.

We start the story at a year later learning about Isra and Astrid's relationship and how it has grown. The couple have grown stronger but do not overly depend on each other. Astrid has delved into the arts and Isra seems at peace, feeling the need to not use magick.... It is in this story that we learn just who Isra and Astrid really are.

Some quick announcements. I have been superbly busy guys. I have not forgotten about the giveaway. The new release and some illness stuff that is going on has caused me to rest, something I hate doing but I've had to in order to not get more ill. Hello everyone, Isra here. I can only apologise for my delay in writing but I have been supremely busy with a variety of things which I shall get into very shortly. First of all my health has taken another decline and this affects my ability to write and albeit slows things down. The second is a situation with my home which in turn causes stress and affects my ability to write and get things done but the good news is I am slowly getting back into things and also looking to move to a new home!

I have drawn the winner for the witches starter kit giveaway and they have been emailed. Furthermore the next giveaway will be up in the next few days! I will post the link here and on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and my mailing list when it's all set up so don't worry about missing out!

The next thing on my agenda is doing another reader giveaway on my Facebook page which I will engineer to do so soon!

I am also, having had time to re-think a few things, going over my book "Her Blackened Rose" and probably going to be making a couple of small changes but nothing that changes the story itself. This is probably going to be my most darkest book in terms of the story and the plot. We are going to have some characters return and some will have closure and never come back but there are some new faces and we are also going to learn more about Astrid and his darkness that rivals Lady Isra's in a big way. So stay tuned for that and more besides!

Hello everyone Isra here. Sorry for the delay in my postings at least you can say I'll never be spamming you, well laughter aside here's what's going on.

Book Covers- I am rebranding my book covers. This is a process that could take at least a month or two but it's important to my brand and what I stand for in the fantasy novel industry. While I do like some of my current covers, I always feel like there is room for improvement in anything you do in life.

Facebook Page- I am no longer using my facebook author page. The reason for this is as follows: the algorithms have become so poor that it's very hard to connect with readers/ fan s and so instead I am using just my group Isra Sravenheart Reader Hang out https://www.facebook.com/groups/18995... which people are more then welcome to join.

Paperback Giveaway- In March I am going to be part of 10 paperback book giveaway which features 10 authors including myself sponsored by Pict Publishing a company that empowers women authors and all women. Physical Giveaways Ran by Myself- I have decided to stop the physical giveaways that I was self running. Instead I will focus more on giveaways with other authors which are ultimately better prizes and also more chances to win. I will also be starting up my giveaways on twitter again to win kindle copies of my books so that's something to look forward too. We've done things like to win a kindle oasis and others so expect more of this type of thing.

At the moment for the time being I am concentrating on finishing "Her Blackened Rose" so I can get to work on a new YA fantasy project that has an October deadline. However when I have "Her Blackened Rose" out of the way, I will have more time to do things.

Sorry this update is so short. There's a lot going on over here and I don't want to bore people but at the same time wanted to keep you all updated and there are lots of things in the works.

I am also working on dealing with my health issues, which I am happy to report are getting better. Everything takes time so I do appreciate anyone who has decided to stick with me and I can promise a lot of exciting things in the near future. As the saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a day. :)

Hey lovely people hows it going? Well I know it's been a while since I've posted anything here. I mean does any author still use Goodreads blogging? On a serious note, I've been super busy racing against time to get "Heart of Oz" finished ready for the October 23rd release of Once Upon A Rebel Fairytale boxset which I am super excited for... Incidentally, I did manage to finish it on July 3rd, which of course after it was sent to my editor. A super sweet lady named Jody.

After that I began work on the first chapter of book 6, I know that's a little weird but since I like to include the next chapter of the new book in each one, I decided it was only right. So "Raven's Curse" which follows "Her Blackened Rose" began on July 8th. I was very happy as I got this done around July 15th so that too will be going to my editor as soon as we can sort that out. As that will be my next release!

This meant that I am now working on "Her Blackened Love" which I actually started back in August last year. This is the prequel of the Blackened Series. I wasn't originally going to do one. It just sort of happened. I was going through the history of Isra & Everilda and realized there was quite a backstory there of why they were so at war with each other and of course, we needed some explanation of why Isra was the way she is... so that put paid to that. There was also the question of Astrid, the raven turned man and whether he had a part in Isra's past. I decided that yes that should be but for Astrid, I thought his history should be inclined towards the light... rather than darkness although it's very clear he has experience with both.

Astrid has always been a very bold character for me and he's very complex to write for but at the same time, he is also very three dimensional. In the sense that one minute he's one thing, the next he's expanded on it. My inspiration for this was something the ahem, real life Astrid did... obviously I won't breach any confidences here but it did open up a whole new world for the character which I hope to continue to broaden his horizons as I get to work in this novel and the one that follows it. (Book 5 in series)

So as I sit here sipping my coffee with the sun streaming through the windows... I am reminded that inspiration can come from any time and place... and so my mind is fresh and I am able to continue.

This is just a short update but wanted to keep people aware of what I was doing, so they are not sitting around thinking I am not working ahead on the next book because believe me I am raring to go. I do have a few health issues that do cause the odd problem/ delay here and there but I fight against them as hard as I can... ultimately I don't want my readers sat awaiting the next book in my series for more than a year if I can honestly help it so believe me when I say "Her Blackened Rose" is coming as soon as me and the editor, Jody, can get that done. :)

In the meantime, I am plugging away on "Her Blackened Love" with a few surprises in store. ;)
