Roos Boum is a Dutch author who emigrated to France in 2000 and lives in the middle of nowhere with her friend Erik and some 20 animals.
There Roos (pronounce Rose please ;-) ) discovered that her childhood must have been torn apart bij the lie of Munchausen by proxy. A form of childabuse where the mother on purpose makes her child ill, so that the mother herself can get attention from medical staff.
Roos wrote her debut (that became a bestsller) about it in 2007 which is translated into False Jasmine, A Youth Ripped Apart.
After that she wrote a childrensbook on the same subject in 2008 to help children who suffer(ed) from it.
