Alan Jones was born in Johannesburg, South Africa in 1968 to 3rd generation immigrants from Wales, Ireland, Germany and Australia.

He studied graphic design at the University of the Witwatesrand, and went on to start a design business, Access IPD, in 1999.
Shortly after that Alan joined the pastoral staff at Cornerstone Church in Johannesburg where he served for 8 years as pastor and bible teacher.

In 2009 Alan relocated to Tacoma, WA with his wife Meg, and their son Daniel. Alan serves as founding pastor at Firebrand Church.

I find I'm constantly scribbling down notes, many of which I don't get to use.
A few years ago I started using Evernote to keep a track of them, it's useful because it can take multiple formats and I can use it on whatever device is handy.(less)

I published The Subjective God just over a year ago. It serves as an introduction to the book I'm currently writing, The Subjective Man.

My end goal is to create an accessible handbook on Biblical Ethics. One of the least understood of the Christian doctrines.
