So I rarely get stuck once I sit down to write. When I do, I remember two pieces of advice. The first is from Annie Lamott: "bird by bird." Basically, she says, you just keep writing. It's okay to write a bad first draft, as long as you get the words onto paper. Scene by scene. I forget who the second piece of advice came from, but it's to keep asking, "Then what?" These three things have kept me moving forward in my first drafts!(less)

The second is that I get to enjoy the fun adventures my characters experience. I can live vicariously through them as they're wading through online dating or kissing someone they like for the first time. It's so much fun! (less)

This book was such a fun read! I loved the chemistry between Shea and Trevor, although I felt like she let him back into her life a little too easily (but even great characters don't always do what we wish they would!).
