Diana Khalil was born in the small town of Port Arthur, Texas. Before entering college, she met her husband in Canada while visiting family. On a trip to Banff, she recalls how he almost fell off a mountain trying to capture her attention. It was then she knew he was the one. Together, they raised five children, three who entered medical school. Today, she is still in Southeast Texas where she lives with her husband, children, three cats, a dog, and a twenty-year-old tarantula.
