Standing in the Rain
Standing in the rain could mean we have overcome one of our fears.
Standing in the rain no one can see any of our tears.
Standing in the rain can help wash away the filth from our worst of days.
Standing in the rain can even help a child to find a reason for play.
Standing in the rain...standing in the rain...standing in the rain.

Standing in the rain can even help a child to find a reason for play.
Standing in the rain...standing in the rain...standing in the rain.

Male vs Female Horror Writers
I recently came across a topic of discussion concerning this. Here is the answer I gave.
"Females or males better at horror writing? Hmm, good question; albeit, a little loaded.
This is my opinion:
Males are genetically geared for higher aggression levels than females. Men typically tend to write accordingly. Males lean to action, horror, adventure, etc. over that of an aspiring romance novelist. Generally speaking, of course.
Females are genetically geared for nurturing, love, caregiving, and are in touch with their emotions much more than males. This is why we see more females in the romance and children's genres over that of males. Generally speaking, of course.
Males and females have one thing in common which is indisputable. We are all human. This means we all have the ability to do whatever we so desire with equal chance of success (outside of sexist ceilings and childbirth).
Guitar playing is mainly thought of as a male dominated instrument. I would like to point you to Orianthi.
This woman not only plays a duet with Steve Vai, but she is an obvious equal to his mad abilities. Myth busted.
If there was such a thing as a male writer being better than a female (there isn't), then it would be at the fault of the writer (outside of sexist ceilings). In other words, the writer must write what he/she loves and knows. If I were to write a children's book, it would be the first child book banned from causing nightmares. I don't know the first thing about children's books, so I stay clear of the notion of entering that field.
At the end of the day, it does not matter how our estrogen/testosterone levels gear our minds, as it applies to accomplishing a goal. If we desire to play a guitar, then we sit our butts down and start learning to be better with each passing day. If we desire to write horror, then we sit our butts down and write until our fingers are sore. Either way, success in writing should not be measured by the paycheck in our hand (although it would be great); but instead, our success should be measured by the satisfaction we receive from a job well done.
Finally, down with the haters. If someone chooses to not read your book because of being a female, then they don't deserve to read it in the first place.
I read both male and female authors. My bookshelf contains more male than female books ONLY because there are more males in the genre. It has nothing to do with a preference on sex. The story is what matters."

Friends
Good true friends are hard to find.
When you find one good and true, don't change the old one for the new. - Unknown.

Achievements
Achievements are not measured by a list of friends and family members, the amount of awards and trophies we have, or the financial blanket in which we cover ourselves; rather, achievements are the true measurement of the actions we took after we first had a dream.

Dreams
There is always someone who will tell us that our dreams are ridiculous, and have no merit within the concepts of reality. But if we would just take a closer look, we could see they have let their dreams die. What they see is not our dreams, but the statue of bitterness built to remind them of their own reality.

Life
We should enjoy each positive moment as though it were our first experience, and act as if it will be our last chance in doing so. Regret is only wishing that we had done something we have not, or to not do something in which we have done. Regret holds no power if we enjoy each positive moment. Everything else is about forgiveness. Life is indeed complicated, but it remains simple enough.

When is the Last Time?
When is the last time someone...
...asked me if I were okay?
...said I was special to them?
...rushed to help me while in need?
...took time from their day to just say, I love you?
When is the last time I...
...asked someone if they were okay?
...revealed how special someone is to me?
...rushed to help another in need?
...took time from my day to tell someone I love them?
I can never control what others do, but I can control what I do.
Today, I want to know if you are okay. I would like to say, you are special and you do matter. This world would not be as bright without that wonderful and unique personality of yours. And if I am able, I will do what I can to help you. But above all of these things, I want you to know that I love you because you are who you are.
The last time for me was today. And luckily, tomorrow promises that I get a chance to do it all over again. Thanks to you, I will have a reason to do so.
