As I grew into my role as a professional writer I never lost touch with the power of a 3 minutes song. So much can be said in so little words. When I have writers block, I go back to creating images in my mind and them describing them in words. As the flow comes back, I realize that all writing is just the stringing together of words. Floating in EmOceans

There’s nothing worse than feeling out of control. It’s counter to how most of us are wired. When we lose are bearings, we lose our balance. Having some sort of control helps us put one foot in front of the other. Control gives us choices.

“You might think that nobody’s insides are as messy as your insides. That’s an optical delusion. You only see other people’s outsides – never their insides. So you can’t possibly know.”
Deborah Pardes, Climbing Out from Under: A Handbook for Heartbreak

“Take heart now in one true thing: You will gain traction. You will grow upwards even when you think you’ve been slammed back down into that same dark hole. It will start looking like a different hole, one that might still have you
curled up and crying, but that crying will be more transformative than only desperate screams of despair. Your pain can be turned to good account. You’re not alone. You’ve got
this handbook. Keep us with you.”
Deborah Pardes, Climbing Out from Under: A Handbook for Heartbreak

“Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude. It can also be a time when feeling grateful can be an acrobatic feat that you're just not up for. There's no rules that need to be followed here. Authentic living is your only option, so it's ok to turn off the tv when another ad screams for you to be a certain way just because the calendar says so. Power of suggestion can be great medicine - but don't judge yourself or a loved one who is having trouble learning the words to this song. It's a tough season from some people. Huddle and cuddle with those you trust and love. That's real medicine and it's a good place to be during the holidays. xoxo”
