Book Description:

Tildy is used to causing a bit of trouble. As a Lust Fairy stirring up sexy shenanigans is her role and she loves it. The only problem is that she may have pushed things too far. She's found herself exiled to the human world and her only hope of returning to her kind is to grant 100 wishes. The catch? She can only grant your wish if you believe in fairies and believers are in very short supply. That is until she finds Anna. A cute yet lonely woman with an honest belief in Tildy's kind. A belief strong enough to allow Tildy to not only grant Anna's wish but to actually appear to the woman. Anna may regret that belief, however, because her wish to find others who share it gives Tildy a naughty idea. She grants Anna a Midas touch that causes anyone she comes into contact with her to believe in fairies. It isn't permanent, Tildy isn't that strong, but it lasts long enough for a single, sexy wish. One that invariably focuses on the cute girl who just touched the wisher. Now Tildy is granting wishes left and right while Anna is sent on a wild ride through the power of her new fairy friend and the paranormal sex life that comes with her.

Halloween Release

I know, I know, Lust Fairy had a long wait time from pre-order to release but fear not. I have not been idle. Aside from my next major Brooke's Hollow book, A Girl Named Flower, which drops Nov 12th I also have a new Halloween short (25k words) releasing Oct 25th! I also have a handy FB even link for more information as i get it.

Whispers From the Past
By: Shawna Hunter
Book Blitz

Synopsis:

A coven of college witches heads into the woods on Halloween night.
They go intending to contact the ancient spirits who can help them unlock the power to make their dreams come true and they succeed.
The wisdom of the past, however, comes at a price and the coven soon learns that failing to recognize what one is given drives that price higher.
Now, having transgressed and offended the ancients, they will have to take what's coming to them. The ancients, however, are not perfect and even they can be corrupted. The coven came to listen to their whispers but in return they will have to give their bodies over to powers that have never experienced the pleasures of the flesh.

Author Biography:

I live in Ontario, Canada. BDSM is one of my major passions as are writing, photography, hiking and physical fitness. I love erotica but I've always felt the genre to be repetitive and stale. I wanted my own works to break from the pack and present something fresh. I want my characters to have a depth and uniqueness to them instead of being one note cliches. I write with these interests and goals in mind and hope that my readers will love the characters and stories I present as much as I do.

Publisher: Kingston Publishing Company
Release Date: October 25th, 2018

The girls are back!

What a busy week! Lust Fairy drops tomorrow (finally) and I'm very excited for that but a week later (Nov 12th) another book drops, A Girl Named Flower (which finally has a cover and release event on FB btw).

This is exciting for a number of reasons which I've detailed in other blog posts but one of my favorite factoids about it is that it finally sees the return of Rachel and Isabelle. Beauty and the Bitch has been my bestseller to date and people always ask me when the gym-rats will make a proper reappearance. I guess Izzy's brief cameo in The Domme's Daughter wasn't enough. Well, they're back. They aren't the main characters in A Girl Named Flower but they have a strong supporting role and are present throughout the book.

Lesbian erotica, it seems, is hot right now but I don't just want to ride that wave. I want these characters to be explored as people and this new story seems like the perfect chance to do that. How would Rachel react if told some hitman is after her friends? Would Izzy be excited to meet another lesbian couple? Well you're going to find out.

Oh, and don't worry if you prefer the characters from Wild Little Girl or Master May I? They're back to but Marcus and Darrius may not be having as much fun as the others. This one's for the girls.

Why my next book is NOT erotica

I am currently in the process of editing my 11th book. This story, tentatively titled 6s and 7s, will follow an enforcement officer (a cop) siding with a rebel to unravel a mystery that threatens their entire world. It is a world dominated by a social ranking system that looks at 3 characteristics. Appearance (including genetics), Intelligence and Morality with a heavy weight placed on the first category as it is thought to indicate the other two. From 1-10 these ranks indicate the sort of employment you can pursue, the food and healthcare you receive, where you can live and (basically) your overall quality of life.

There are benefits to the system, and unlike some dystopian stories I do explore them, but there are those who do not like it. Some, like the main character Zeta, want systemic change. Others want a more radical solution. That solution unites Zeta and officer Theta Beauline despite their ideological and rank differences.

It's a story of co-operation, common ground, mystery and action. Both characters slowly come to see the other's point of view to an extent but getting past their divisions is not easy. The story has many sci-fi elements and a lot of fun world building.

What it does not have is sex. I know its a departure for me and there are mentions of sex and a lot of wink, wink, nudge, nudge innuendo but overall I've created a story that would be just a little north of PG-13 (mostly for language). The reason for this is both to challenge myself creatively and to provide my family with a book they can actually talk about.

You see I get complaints all the time that friends and family would love to support me and talk about my books but that they don't feel comfortable discussing erotica. The genre, perfectly fine though it may be, still carries the stigma of being something dirty, something to be hidden in the sock drawer. As such those closest to me have never read any of my works nor have they felt comfortable recommending them to others. It really sucks to be an author with 10 published books and to go to social events only to be reminded in a whisper "try not to mention those sex books ok?"

So 6s and 7s will be for all those prudes that love me but won't admit it. Don't worry though, book 12 is half written already and it will be erotica. A return to Brooke's Hollow and the election saga! I am, first and foremost, an erotica author after all and though I take my loved ones into consideration I will never be ashamed of the fact.

New Book Update

Update:

Fingers crossed that my beta reader will have my WIP finished by this weekend and I can make the finishing touches.

The story, roughly 60k words, is a dystopian/scifi cop drama set in a future where society issues ranks based on your physical appearance, intelligence and demonstrated moral character with a heavy focus on appearance as its thought an outward sign of the other traits. Your job, where you live, what food you are allowed to eat are all based on your rank. Cosmetics are outlawed, who you can marry is heavily restricted and aging is sometimes seen as a fate worse than death. On the plus side technology (especially medical) is vastly advanced, people work hard, exercise and take care of themselves and the environment is on the mend. Some people are VERY happy...others, predictably, are not. An underground movement of what the media calls Whiners is rising and their plan could come down to genocide. Standing in their way are a cop who has dedicated his life to defending the system and a rebel who hates the system but won't kill innocent people to see it end.

My beta reader has likened the first half to the first Divergent movie (which she loved) and praised the world building. I had a blast writing this story as well and I'm very pleased with the result. I can't wait to share it with you all.

New Release...new genre

Don't worry, I haven't abandoned erotica. I did, however, have an idea for a novel and I pursued it. The result? 6s and 7s which should drop in the next few days. This is a scifi/dystopian/cop drama. The feel is somewhere between Divergent and Bladerunner. Its NOT YA but it has that feel. It also lacks any explicit sex. This is a novel that you won't have to hide in your sock drawer. You can read it in public without getting embarassed when your free hand starts to wander!

The story takes place in a technologically advanced society ruled by "The Ranking System." Under this system everyone gets a 1-10 number based on their physical appearance, intelligence and moral character. Appearance is heavily favored, however, with the other factors just slightly tilting the scale. This seems harsh but it has benefits. Cosmetics are outlawed save for reconstructive surgery and so people take better care of themselves. They focus on study, health and longevity. Its not all great, however, and a rebel faction called The Whiners is on the rise. These increasingly violent malcontents have an unknown leader and when their plots turn genocidal one of their liutenants will defect.

This defector, Zeta, will join forces with our main character Theta Beauline, a staunch defender of the system. They may be ideological opposites but they'll have to put those differences aside before a revolution begins. Zeta may hate the system and Theta may protect it but neither wants to see change born from an ocean of blood. The only question is who is the real enemy and can they stop this threat in time?

I've been thinking about this story for a while. The world today is so divided and so I saw great appeal in a story about finding common ground and working together. I do enjoy the commentary on beauty standards, how we judge people and whether we value the right traits. Above all I had a lot of fun putting my Sociology background to work crafting this society. I didn't want a clear black and white. Both sides have merit and its up to the reader to decide if the system helps or harms society in the end.

Its always fun to stretch my creative wings and explore new territory. Hopefully you will all join me in this, my first literary journey where everyone (for the most part) keeps their pants on.

Mistress Domination Release Date

Mistress Domination: The Rise of Princess Prude

A comedy, action/adventure...who am I kidding? A Lesdom, bisexual, bdsm, superhero story with comedy and action/adventure elements...is coming soon. How soon?

Jan. 13th, 2022!

Mark your calendars!

What's it about? Well, Mistress D is a superhero, but (this is so cliché) not your average superhero. She's the only person she knows with powers, and her's are...odd. She can manifest and mentally control sex toys. Fully formed, solid objects that exist as long as she wants them to. With a thought, she can have a plug in your butt and cuffs on your wrists. She can even lift you into the air or have giant kinky boots step on you.

Needless to say, she has her pick of the criminal litter. Though, she focuses on low level street crime. Partially, because major criminals are rare, and partially because she's no detective, no fighter. She's just a normal woman with powers...and a fetish for handing out punishments. She's even afraid of heights! Her powers might allow her to fly, she thinks, but she's too scared to try it.

Enter Penelope. An uptight Christian conservative who is absolutely furious about the one person, on Earth, with powers...being a kinky witch who leaves bad guys in sexualized positions. Penelope will do anything to stop Mistress D. Protest, kidnap...even have a conversation with her! Of course, that might be dangerous...if Penelope didn't have a secret of her own. She can make Mistress Domination's manifestations...unmanifest! The only person with powers? Not any more.

Did I mention that Penelope's roommate Kate happens to be Mistress Domination? Shh, don't tell her. It's a secret. They're the original odd couple. Best friends, co-workers, they like to gossip, veg on the couch and test each other's patience. That they happen to chase each other through the streets at night, in silly costumes, is just a little addition.

Will Penelope find out the truth? Well, d'uh. What kind of author would tease that payoff and not deliver? I mean, come on, they're roommates. Penelope would need some sort of mental block, some deep seated denial to not see the truth, right? Right. Literally that. The real question (the one you'll have to read the book for) is what it will do to their friendship. Of course, there are also plenty of criminals to fight along the way. A cat-burglar you say? A flasher? A biker gang? Muggers?

No wonder graffiti artists start spray painting "punish me Mistress."
